Are you open to the public?
We are not open to the public. We are a private swim club and you must be a member or guest of a member to come in. We offer guest days on the following days that anyone from the public may come in with a member and swim at the rate of $6 per person.
Guest days are July 1st, July 15th, July, 29th.
Are you open today?
Our summer season starts on Memorial Day and ends on Labor Day.
What is the temperature of the pool?
The water is always refreshing!
What are your rules for guests?
Guest must live outside a 15 mile radius or belong to another pool and have a valid membership card from that pool and a member must be present. The guest fee for anyone younger than 60 costs $6, this includes children, infants and guests who are not swimming. Senior citizens guests are anyone 60 years or older and the rate for seniors is $3. There are no special rates or exceptions to the guest policy.
How do I sign up for activities offered by the club?
Please see the lifeguards at the front desk to inquire about the events. Payment is required at the time of sign up.
I’d like to reserve a pavilion, how do I do that?
Pavilions can be reserved at the front desk by a lifeguard. There is a non-refundable fee due at the time of reservation to hold your spot.
What time does the pool close?
We close at 9:00 p.m. every night unless announced differently or for inclement weather.
What are your rules for babysitters?
Members who hire a babysitter may take two options, one option is that the children may bring the babysitter in and they have to pay the $6 guest fee, they may live within the 15 mile radius. The second option is that the members may purchase a nanny membership for their babysitter.
Members who are babysitters may not bring the kids into the pool unless they reside outside the 15 mile radius.
What are your hours?
Our hours are Monday-Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m unless otherwise announced; Sunday hours 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Do you offer swim lessons?
We offer our Learn-to-Swim program the last two weeks in June. Learn-To-Swim forms are available on our website or if signing up for the Kindergarten Program, call our manager Linda Strine at 717-566-2274 to schedule a time. Private lessons by one of our lifeguards may be available upon request. Cost and time will be determined on an individual basis.
Do you allow alcohol?
We do NOT allow any glass or alcohol on the property of the Hummelstown Swim Club. Adult steak night is the only event when alcohol may be brought to the pool.
Do you know when the Food Lagoon (hot food) will open?
The swim team operates the Fool Lagoon and it is run by parent volunteers.
